How SMS ingestion works

01

Receive your bank SMS

Your bank sends you a transaction notification after any purchase or withdrawal, like always.

02

Zynk reads the message

Our AI parses the SMS in under a second — extracting the amount, currency, vendor name, and guessing the category.

03

Expense is logged automatically

The expense appears in your household dashboard instantly, categorized and ready. Nothing for you to do.

Supported Egyptian banks

If your bank sends transaction SMS alerts, Zynk can read them.

Frequently asked questions

Which Egyptian banks does Zynk support?

Zynk supports SMS notifications from CIB, National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Banque Misr, QNB Alahli, Banque du Caire, and HSBC Egypt. If your bank sends transaction SMS alerts, Zynk can read them.

Does Zynk store my bank SMS messages?

Zynk processes SMS content to extract expense data. The extracted information (amount, vendor, category) is stored, but raw message text is not retained after processing.

How do I set up automatic SMS tracking on Android?

On Android, you use MacroDroid (a free automation app) to forward incoming bank SMS messages to Zynk. The setup takes about 5 minutes and works silently in the background after that.

Does it work with Apple Pay?

Yes. On iOS, you can share Apple Pay receipts with Zynk after each tap-to-pay transaction. Zynk reads the receipt and logs the expense automatically.
